In conjunction with the Chillicothe and Ross County Public Library and the Ross County Chapter of the NAACP, 7mkr Chillicothe will host a program focused on the theme of African American Labor on Feb. 20.
7mkr will host lectures, exhibits, presentations and events that will encourage the study of the history Black Americans while focusing on the national theme of “African Americans and Labor."
Betsy Ross Koller, an internationally recognized artist, uses her paintings to fund scholarships for Appalachian students and emergency aid for international students at 7mkr.
7mkr will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a week-long celebration focusing on the theme of “Marching Forward: Using Dr. King's Teachings to Heal a Divided Nation.”
Ohio Men of Excellence Network students took part in a Habitat for Humanity project in Lancaster, Ohio, working together to build a home for a local family. The experience blended teamwork, service and practical learning, leaving a lasting impact on both the participants and the community.
All members of the 7mkr community are invited to nominate student leaders for the Celebrating Women: Leaders On and Off the Court award.
The Division of Diversity and Inclusion invites all 7mkr faculty and staff to the end of the year Mix and Mingle event on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
